2 Muskoka Lakes residents face drug, possession of crime charges

BALA — Two Muskoka Lakes Township residents face drug and possession of property obtained by crime charges this morning.

A drug busts Monday night netted two Muskoka Lakes residents with numerous charges.

Last night at 10 p.m. the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Bracebridge OPP conducted a traffic stop on Muskoka Road 169 in Bala resulting in a substantial drug seizure and two arrests.

As a result of the investigation, the CSCU seized over $25,000 in cocaine, over $11,000 in currency and a motor vehicle.

The following two people have been charged with the following offences on Aug. 27, 2018:

  • Iver Patrick Hansen Jr., 45

Possession of a Schedule I substance- Cocaine- for the purpose of Trafficking – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Two (2) counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 – S. 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

  • Genna Leigh Kramer, 22

Possession of a Schedule I substance- Cocaine- for the purpose of Trafficking – S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Two (2) counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – S. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 – S. 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The two accused were released from custody and are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 2, 2018.
