Medley Food & Drink Festival in Barrie July 20-22

BARRIE Passionate about cooking, eating, entertaining and music?

Dine and wine on Barrie’s waterfront July 20-22 for this inaugural fine food event.

Well, Barrie’s revitalized waterfront is the place for you July 20-22.

The Medley Food & Drink Festival is a three-day experience for Ontarians looking to rediscover time together.

Launching this year on the shores of Lake Simcoe in Barrie, this food and drink festival is packed with over 60 vendors, including sponsors, top culinary experts such as chef Dario Tomaselli with partner Anita Heidema and their Passion is Cooking mission to bring people together and feed the soul by creating delicious food together, and five incredible bands. With three days of entertaining scheduling, there’s something for everyone to enjoy – even the kids.

“The Medley Food & Drink Festival is an opportunity for us to showcase our passion for creating exceptional culinary and beverage experiences while celebrating Barrie and its surrounding communities,” said Phillip Moore, a partner in Medley Corp.

Tomaselli says: “We cook together to stay together, so partnering with Medley was a natural step as passion is cooking aims to bring couples, family and friends together through food to foster meaningful connections, and reconnection. We (Dario and wife/partner Anita Heidema) look forward to bringing more people together with our delicious food seminars and tasting sessions at the festival.”

Festival-goers will see, touch and taste the best in food and beverage from vendors like Muskoka Brewery, Georgian Bay Spirits, Smoke’s Poutinerie and Bacardi.

“This first of its kind event in Barrie will be taking place along our newly renovated waterfront,” said Mayor Jeff Lehman. “Medley will feature high quality wine, spirits, cheese and cuisine, with a strong focus on our local producers and suppliers from our region. We hope all those attending take the time to explore what our City has to offer. This event is a great addition to our summer calendar.”
