Thank God It’s Prime Rib Friday at 302 Harry Wray

GRAVENHURST — TGIB.

Dig in this Friday at the Royal Canadian Legion in Gravenhurst.

TGIF that is.

Thank God Thank God It’s Friday is back.

Hungry heat-challenged barbecuers can get inside and enjoy a cold one and a hot meal — both at the same time — this Friday, June 29.

The 302 Harry Wray legion returns tomorrow with its monthly end-of-week rib fest.

As in prime rib.

It’s a dinner delight not to be beat.

Chef Carolos Ferrera guarantees it.

No need to bring your sun or rain umbrella.

After a month off — something to do with a leaky roof — and the leginonairres are pulling out all the stocks for their return.

The always popular meal-and-a-half, with all the trimmings is only $25 and will help the branch put away the buckets.

(Ed. note: That would be a good fundraiser, ‘Buy-a-Bucket’ for only $25; but then it would have to be chicken. Or how about a ‘Buck-a-Bucket’ and you fill up the cluck …?’ We’ll work on that.)

Dinner is served at 6 p.m., but the bar is open earlier for those with designated drivers.

The legion is in the midst of repairing its roof to the tune of some $80,000.

That’s a lot of prime rib moo-lah.

So, take a break from the heat — or at least until it cools off after supper — and treat yourself to the best prime rib in town Friday.

Or as you can call it: TGIPRF.
