Suspect vehicle sought in Orillia knifing assault

ORILLIA — Police have released suspect descriptions of two people after an armed robbery and assault here Sunday.

Police are looking for this suspect vehicle after Sunday evening’s armed robbery assault in Orillia.

On June 10 at 6:30 p.m. provincial police in Orillia were called to a Memorial Avenue business, with reports of a robbery that had just occurred.

The OPP learned two unidentified males approached the victims and an altercation occurred.  As a result of the altercation one male suffered a non-life threatening injury. Some items belonging to occupants of the room were taken.

A dark coloured sedan was seen leaving the scene.

The Orillia Crime Unit, Central Region Forensic Identification Unit (FIS) and Orillia Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) were called in to assist in the investigation.

Police believe this to be an isolated incident and feel there are no public safety concerns.

The investigation is still on-going and police are seeking witnesses or people with information regarding the circumstances.

As a result of the on-going investigation police are seeking assistance in identifying 2 male suspects described as:

Suspect # 1:

Male Caucasian.

55-65 years of age.

6 feet tall.

Slim build.

Salt and pepper hair.

Suspect # 2: 

Male Caucasian.

25-35 years of age.

5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall.

Medium build.

Short/brush cut hair.

Police are also seeking assistance in locating the vehicle driven by the suspects.

The vehicle is described as a black four-door Volkswagen Sedan.
