Man knifed at home in Gravenhurst

GRAVENHURST — An armed man who knifed a man at his home in downtown Gravenhurst is on the loose Tuesday.

A police search failed to turn up the suspect Tuesday.

At 1:30 a.m. on June 12, a Peter Street the unknown assailant was met outside on the driveway by the victim.

During the course of the encounter, the victim was assaulted with a knife.

The victim sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Provincial police and the Muskoka Crime Unit are currently investigating the attack.

The OPP Canine Unit along with Emergency Response Team (ERT) members conducted a thorough search of the area however did not locate the suspect.
