Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital Monday

TAY TOWNSHIP — A motorcyclist was airlifted to a Toronto hospital Monday after a crash in the southbound lanes of Hwy. 400.

A 55-year-old motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Toronto from Midland Monday.

Provincial police were called 3:54 p.m. May 21 to the area of Fesserton Side Road, Tay Township.

Along with Tay Township Fire Service and Simcoe County Paramedic Service, they found a 55-year-old male driver in the centre median.

He was treated at the scene and transported by land ambulance to Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland.

He was then transported to a Toronto hospital by an Ornge air ambulance for further treatment of his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the attending officers.
