THREE DAYS IN A ROW OF IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS

BRACEBRIDGE — Three days of impaired driving charges in south Muskoka began first thing Thursday with one charge, followed Friday night by two more and another late Saturday.

Police say it all began during the very early morning hours of Thursday, October 15, at 12:15 a.m., when officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a driver on Rainbow Lane in Bracebridge.

Officers arrived and intercepted the vehicle and began an investigation into the circumstances.

As a result,  police arrested and charged 34-year-old Michelle Hollingshead, of Bracebridge, with:

  • Operation while Impaired
  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Assault Peace Officer X 2
  • Mischief Over $5,000

Hollingshead is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 23, 2026.

Friday night, Oct. 16, at 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a driver in a commercial parking lot on Muskoka Road 118 in Bracebridge.

They located the vehicle and subsequently arrested and charged 36-year-old Mosses Johnson, of Sudbury, with Operation while Impaired- Drug.

Mosses is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 24, 2026 to answer to his charge.

Three hours later, at 11:40 p.m., police conducting proactive patrols in Bracebridge and conducted a traffic stop on Muskoka Road 118 near Pearcey Road.

Brett Beaucock, of Fonthill, was charged with Operation while Impaired and Over 80.

Beaucock is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 24, 2026.

Then Saturday night, October 17, at 11 p.m., officers were conducting a RIDE check on Ecclestone Drive, at Robert Dollar Drive in Bracebridge.

After an investigation with one driver, police subsequently arrested and charged 31-year-old Christopher Edwards, of Little Britain, with Operation while Impaired, Over 80 and Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.

Edwards is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 24, 2026.

Four drivers face impaired operation charges including drugs and alcohol.
