THREE SEARCH WARRANTS LEAD TO TWO DRUG TRAFFICKING ARRESTS, CHARGES IN GRAVENHURST LAST MONTH

GRAVENHURST — During the summer the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigators began an investigation in to suspected drug trafficking at an apartment complex here.

July 10 they say they charged two people after conducting three search warrants at an apartment complex on Bethune Drive South in Gravenhurst.

They were assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), K9 Unit, Southern Georgian Bay CSCU, Orillia CSCU, and Bracebridge Detachment members.

As a result Chantelle Conway-Penrose, 38, of Gravenhurst was charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking.

Also charged was Shaquore Taylor, 26, of Etobicoke, with Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Conway-Penrose and Taylor are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 25, 2026.

The two arrests and charges follow a summer drug-trafficking investigation in Gravenhurst by the Muskoka CSCU.
