KILWORTHY — A 911 traffic complaint about suspected impaired driver led police to unusual call Friday.

Bracebridge detachment officers responded June 5, just before 1 p.m., about a concern over the behaviour of man driving his lawn mower on Amelia Crescent off Hwy. 11 at the south end of Gravenhurst.

Frank Doran, of Kilworthy, was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80.

Doran is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 7, 2026.

Police did not say where he was going or if he was near his home.

The do say if you suspect anyone driving a vehicle of any kind while impaired to call 911. And that officers will make every effort to locate the involved vehicle and conduct an investigation.

And that many times, these investigations result in charges and removing impaired drivers from Muskoka roads.

Amelia Crescent is in Kilworthy, at the south end of Gravenhurst, east of Hwy. 11 and between North and South Kahshe Lake roads.
