BRACEBRIDGE — “Be Prepared — Save a Life.”

A free naloxone training workshop Tuesday night, May 26, is being presented by the Muskoka Rotary Impact Club — in partnership with CMHA Muskoka Parry Sound,

Bracebridge Compounding Pharmacy, and Muskoka Paramedic Services.

The “No Shame — No Blame” info meeting takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Muskoka Paramedic Services HQ/Station, 225 Taylor Road, Bracebridge.

It will help community members recognize and respond to an Opioid overdose, including how to administer naloxone, a medication that can temporarily reverse the effects of an overdose and save a life.

Participants will also hear from community members speaking about their lived experience, helping to reduce stigma and deepen understanding of the realities of substance use.

Everyone is welcome and the training is free of charge.

Each person will be given a free Narcan kit to take home.
