CHILD PORN CHARGES LAID IN GRAVENHURST WEDNESDAY
GRAVENHURST — A four-month internet investigation has led to pornography charges against a man here, who appeared in court Thursday.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Gravenhurst where a computer device was seized containing child sexual abuse material.
As a result of this investigation, police arrested and charged Darron Reid, 51, with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Make Available Child Pornography and one count of Access Child Pornography.
Provincial police say in a release that the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Digital Forensic Unit and Bracebridge OPP Detachment arrested and charged Reid following an internet investigation lasting four months.
They say the investigation is continuing and add the OPP will continue to aggressively identify and pursue individuals who use technology to exploit children.
