MAN ORDERED TO KEEP PEACE CHARGED WITH HARASSMENT FOR WAVING SIGNS, SHOUTING DISTAIN FOR OTHERS NEAR RIVERSIDE PUBLIC SCHOOL

HUNTSVILLE Police have charged a Huntsville with Criminal Harassment and Breach of Recognizance after he was arrested near Riverside Public School Wednesday.

Police say that on April 1, at 3:05 p.m. they responded to a disturbance call on Brunel Road.

School staff reported a male waving a sign and yelling about his disdain for people.

Upon arrival police immediately recognized the male and were aware of his court conditions to keep the peace.

Robert Hodgson, 50, was arrested and taken to the Huntsville OPP detachment.

Hodgson was held for a bail hearing on April 2, 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario.

Police say there was no risk to public safety or students and staff.

And that this was an isolated incident.

Robert Hodgson, who was under a court order to keep the peace, was charged again Wednesday on Bruel Road in Huntsville near Riverside Public School.
