TWO CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULTS LAST MONTH AT HIDDEN VALLEY RESORT, IN HUNTSVILLE, LEAD TO A DOZEN CHARGES AGAINST A MAN, 64, WHO PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED AT CHILDREN’S EVENTS

HUNTSVILLE — A North Dundas Township man will be in court next Wednesday charged with multiple alleged sex assaults against children at a Muskoka resort.
Last Wednesday, March 18, police from Huntsville, in partnership with the OPP Muskoka Crime Unit, initiated an investigation into two sexual assaults.
Tonight they told MuskokaTODAY.com that they can confirm that both assault investigations are recent, occurring in March of this year, at the Hidden Valley Resort in Huntsville.
They say information they received indicated the suspect identified himself as a police officer and allegedly assaulted the children.
Local police and the OPP Muskoka Crime Unit are appealing to the public for assistance, as investigators believe there may be additional victims.

The accused was known to drive a dark-coloured Mini Cooper and has previously performed at children’s events.
Further investigation discovered that he had travelled to the area from another municipality.
The investigation was undertaken with help from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachments, the OPP Criminal Behaviour Analysis Section, the OPP Forensic Interview Team, OPP Forensic Identification Services and OPP East Region Major Crime unit members.
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, as a result of their investigation, Stephen Robert Lynn, 64, was arrested and charged with:
- Sexual assault on a person under 16 years – three counts
- Sexual interference – three counts
- Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years old – two counts
- Indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age – two counts
- Personation of a peace officer
- Fail to comply with prohibition order regarding children
Lynn remains in custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Police say there is no statute of limitations on sexual offences.
Anyone who has information, or who may have had contact with the accused, is encouraged by police to come forward.
