MUSKOKA LAKES WOMAN CHARGED IN GRAVENHURST WITH DRUG-TRAFFICKING WEDNESDAY

GRAVENHURST — A Muskoka Lakes woman was in bail court this morning after a police raid two days ago on Southwood Road in Gravenhurst.

The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) arrested Whitney Wilson, 41, with multiple offences after a months-long police investigation.

During the winter CSCU conducted an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity occurring throughout Muskoka.

On Wednesday, March 25, with support from the OPP in south Muskoka officers and the K-9 unit, officers executed a search warrant at an address on Southwood Road.

Wilson was charged with:

  • Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – 5 counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime

She appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge for a bail hearing March 27.
