BRACEBRIDGE — More Muskoka kids will be able to go to camp this summer thanks to former Maple Leafs, sponsors, volunteers and fans who filled the rink here for a charity hockey game with more than a dozen ex-NHLers.
“A great night,” says Dave Lyons, executive director of the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka who put on the game.
It raised $35,325 after expenses
“The funds will support sending kids to camp this summer,” he said this afternoon.
A full house greeted the Toronto team led by former captain Wendel Clark and local Leaf and NHL v-p Kris King who were among the stars who put on a great show before a crowd of 1,000 who screamed as the Leafs beat a bunch of pay-to-play players 10-4.
