PICKUP TRUCK STOLEN THIS AFTERNOON IN GRAVENHURST; INCLUDES SECOND VEHICLE, THIRD LICENCE PLATE AND GAS THEFTS

GRAVENHURST —  Police are investigating the theft of a pickup truck this afternoon from a commercial property in Gravenhurst — which also involved another vehicle theft and a stolen licence plate nearby.

On January 14, just before 2 p.m., officers responded to the reported theft of a grey 2019 Dodge Ram pick up truck on Bethune Drive near Winewood Avenue in Gravenhurst.

The investigation determined that the suspect arrived in a vehicle that been reported stolen from a Barrie address earlier in the day Wednesday.

He then transferred into the pickup truck.

The suspect affixed Ontario licence plates that were stolen from another vehicle that was parked on Hotchkiss Street in Gravenhurst and attended a gas station located on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst.

There he stole a significant quantity of fuel and fled the area and was last seen travelling northbound on Highway 11 North.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-foot-8, skinny and bald with piercings. He was wearing dark track pants and a dark orange, black and white winter jacket and white running shoes.

The stolen vehicle is a Grey 2019 Dodge Ram Crew Cab pick up truck bearing Ontario licence plate (stolen) BZ46666.
