GRAVENHURST — Video images of a suspect car involved in a pair mischief cases last Monday night that damaged two school sports fields here have been released to the public.

Police are asking their help in identifying the small car seen in the two school CCTV still photos the OPP has now released and that they believe to be possibly a white Mitsubishi  — originally thought to be a Saturn car.

Officers are investigating the two separate incidents in Gravenhurst.

One of the still photos from school surveillance CCTV cameras shows what appears to be the car exiting the high school property onto Mary Street along a laneway from the damaged sports field. PHOTOS OPP

On Monday, November 24, just before 7 p.m., police were called to a report from school staff at Muskoka Beechgrove Public School on Muskoka Beach Road.

A worker said the white vehicle was driving on their playground, doing doughnuts and causing damage to the grass.

The next morning, sports team at Gravenhurst High School noticed similar damage to their sports field that occurred the same evening as the one across town at the elementary school.

Police say damages will be costly to repair and interfere with students being able to utilize the area.

They ask that anyone with information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Or if you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.

A second view from above was also identified by police as having been taken at GHS by a security camera.
