DRIVER IN NORTHBOUND LANES OF HWY. 11 HEADING SOUTH CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION SUNDAY

GRAVENHURST — A Midland driver stopped for travelling the wrong direction on Highway 11 early yesterday has been charged with impaired driving.

On Monday Oct. 26, at 2:15 a.m., police conducting patrols on the highway located a vehicle travelling southbound in the northbound lanes.

Officers were able to conduct a traffic stop, arresting and charging 40-year-old Raymond Laurin with Impaired Operation, Over 80 and Dangerous Operation.

Laurin is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 18, 2025.

Police stopped a Midland man yesterday who was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Hwy. 11 charged him with impaired operation.
