TORONTO — A new lotto game piqued Robert Arnold’s interest and now the Huntsville player is $90,000 richer after winning one of 9 top prizes with THE 90s INSTANT lottery game (Game #2515).

Arnold, a retiree from the automotive industry, has been an occasional lottery player with OLG for decades. He first began playing in a lottery group at work and now enjoys buying tickets on his own, says an OLG release.

The 66-year-old especially likes INSTANT games, with BINGO being one of his favourites.

“This new game piqued my interest when the clerk told me about it,” he said picking up his prize in Toronto. One of five winners to claiming the same prize.

He’s thrilled to be celebrating his first big win.

An ordinary morning quickly became extraordinary when he played his ticket and discovered he’d won a top prize.

“It said ‘$90,000.’

“I immediately got my son to double-check it for me.

“When he confirmed my win, I remained calm, but was very happy. It feels nice to win big.”

With his windfall, Arnold says he plans to complete some home renovations and do a bit of work on his car.

The winning ticket was purchased at Brunel Mart on Brunel Road in Huntsville.

For Game #2515 the OLG stat sheet says:

  • Overall odds of winning: 1 in 3.75.
  • Total number of prizes available: 271,473.
  • Tickets received: 1,019,200.
  • Prize payout†: 69.93 per cent.
  • Prizes must be claimed by April 30, 2028.

THE 90s INSTANT lottery game is available for $20 a play and the top prize is $90,000.

$100,000 winner in June for another Huntsville resident

His win follows a win June 11 for another Huntsville resident, Gary Dam.

He said “yes” to ENCORE matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in an ONTARIO 49 draw to win $100,000.

He purchased the ticket on OLG.ca.
