“We have wanted to bring a game like this to Muskoka for some time,” said Rhodes. “I and all past and current NHL players know the importance of giving back to our communities. We know the power of hockey and how it can bring people together. By combining the two, we know we can make a power difference in the lives of so many people through our charities of choice. That is why we are encouraging youth and our adult players to help us fundraise to help foster a community that cares for each other, said Kris King, executive vice president, Hockey Operations for the National Hockey League.

“I know many people are struggling in our community and I want to do what I can to help. We need to make sure everyone in our community can be strong and thrive. I have seen events like this raise a tremendous amount of money in other communities, and I am thrilled to be working with a strong board to make this happen here in Muskoka, said Brenda Rhodes, deputy mayor of Bracebridge and a district councillor.
