TUC NOON CONCERTS RESUME WEDNESDAY IN GRAVENHURST WITH ORILLIA SILVER BAND ENSEMBLE
GRAVENHURST — A mid-summer’s noon concert series returns to Trinity United Church here this week.
- The five concerts commence July 2 with an Orillia Silver Band ensemble, a collection of musicians comprised of members of the popular pre-eminent concert orchestra to the south.
Under the direction of Neil Barlow, Muskoka’s leading conductor.
- Kylan Haffie, July 9 is the first of three pianists who will entertain between now and July 30.
- Brent Mayhew, July 16, is next to sit down at the same keyboard.
- Then it’s Greg Ulrick back on the organ, July 23, for his third appearance.
- The concert series wraps up the final Wednesday, July 23, with another returnee.
Abby Liang, who has performed previously at the church and at the Opera House, is a former resident who has furthered her studies after being under the early tutelage of Muskoka maestro Kiana A Lee.
This is the third season of mid-day offerings. Each just over an hour long.
A delightful way to take a break from the heat and enjoy a musical respite.
The suggested ticket price is $20 at the door.
