MAY COMMUNITY LIVING EVENTS RAISING MONEY FOR ACCESSIBLE VAN
SOUTH MUSKOKA — A series of May events will raise funds for a wheel-chair accessible van for Community Living residents.
“We are currently working to raise funds that will provide safe, reliable transportation for the people we support who face mobility barriers,” they say in a release.
“An accessible van isn’t just a vehicle—it’s a lifeline to independence, medical appointments, social activities, and opportunities that so many of us take for granted.
“Help us continue to drive change and make a difference.”
May 1-28:
50/50 Raffle. Tickets available at CLSM’s office at 15 Depot Drive (next to Hortons), as well as at other TBD locations. Stay tuned for more information. The draw takes place May 28 at the Bracebridge Barrelhouse at 8:30 p.m.
May 4-10:
A&W Bracebridge Pancake Week in Support of CLSM – May 4-10 at the A&W in Bracebridge.
May 9:
One May 9 from 7-9 a.m. CLSM holds its annual Pancake Breakfast @ Morrison Meadows.
“It wouldn’t be Community Living month without our annual pancake breakfast,” they say.
“Join us on Friday May 9 for some delicious pancakes as we take time to recognize the incredible contributions and achievements of individuals with diverse abilities as we champion the power of authentic inclusion.

Community Living Idol Finale @ The Rene Caisse Theatre Wednesday MAY 2 at 7 p.m.
Join them to cheer on CLSM contestants in a highly anticipated talent show where the winner will be crowned 2025 Idol.

CLSM flag raising @ Gravenhurst Municipal office at 9 a.m.
In conjunction with the Gravenhurst Accessibility Advisory Committee to mark National AccessAbility Week May 25-31. NAAW recognizes the important contributions of people with disabilities and encourages efforts to remove barriers, creating a fair and welcoming society for everyone.
May 28:
Community Living Month Wrap Up Party @ Bracebridge Barrelhouse May 28 at 6 p.m.
Join them for an evening of bingo, dinner, drinks and Idol performances.
