FREE TREE BRUSH DROP-OFF TILL END OF APRIL AT MUSKOKA LANDFILLS — BUT NO HOME PICK UP FOR TIRED HOMEOWNERS

MUSKOKA — The District of Muskoka has decided not to pick up thousands of tons of your downed tree limbs or branches at your doorstep.
Instead, they are telling tired home and business owners devastated by last week’s ice storm to take chip-able wood to their own landfill — and they won’t charge them tipping fees.
That’s until Wednesday April 30.
They say in a release Monday, that he temporary fee relief period — until at least April 30 — means waste facilities will continue to accept brush and chip-able wood free of charge (except Rideout and McLean due to space).
There are no diameter restrictions for storm brush.
But brush must be cut into pieces no longer than four feet.
Stumps and oversized logs are not accepted.
All vehicles must enter and exit over the scales.
The site attendant will request property information for tracking purposes.
