ONTARIO GOING TO POLLS FEB. 27 SHOWS DONALD TRUMP ALREADY DICTATING ‘51ST STATE’ POLITICS

PARRY SOUND-MUSKOKA — A provincial election Feb. 27 shows Donald Trump is already calling shots in Canada.
Premier Doug Ford has thrown Ontario under the election bus, trumping Justin Trudeau’s Liberals at the polls this year.
That’s 16 months before they have to.
Conservatives don’t need a mandate; they have one if they want that next June 2026.
So Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner — and his deputy Matt Richter — will have plenty to answer to at the door here this weekend.
He’s in the riding for two days touting his candidate on a Local Champions Tour to “highlight their commitment to listening to the priorities of rural communities who feel ignored by Doug Ford’s government,” says a party release.
This afternoon he met with local representatives from the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) and Scales Nature Park at Richter’s campaign office at 16 Main Street. And hold a dinnertime community meet and greet at Canvas Brewing.
Tomorrow morning he will strike out from the Greens’ Bracebridge office at 113 Manitoba Street to attend the Fire & Ice Festival between 10 a.m. and noon.
From 1-3 p.m. Schreiner and Richter will canvas Gravenhurst after opening their office at 820 Muskoka Road South.
