GRAVENHURST — A terrifying 75-hour armed abduction that ended on Doe Lake Road last night, had York police and the OPP scouring the road which was closed in the area near Fenbrook prison and the Muskoka Airport all day Wednesday.

Police are looking for three suspects after an armed abduction that ended Tuesday night in Gravenhurst.

They were looking for clues to how the victim ended up on the stretch of road in cottage country, northeast of Gravenhurst’s downtown.

Doe Lake Road runs off Hwy. 11.

When Wanzhen Lu knocked on the door of a residence here at 9 p.m. Tuesday night looking for help, it ended a three-day kidnapping odyssey for the frightened 22-year-old injured man that began Saturday night at 6 p.m. when he was grabbed in a condo parking garage at 15 Water Walk Drive, which is in the area of Hwy. 7 and Birchmount Road.

The homeowner called the OPP who identified the adbucted man and the York police were alerted.

Lu was suffering from minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

York police say Wanzhen Lu was forced into a van in a parking garage near Hwy. 7 after being tasered.

But police say he is “in good health” considering the ordeal.

York Regional Police Major Crimes Unit investigators have been in close contact with Lu’s family and provided them with the updated information.

York police say they will continue to dedicate significant resources to find the four suspects responsible for the kidnapping, as they are still at large.

In a release, they said: “We strongly recommend that the suspects involved in this kidnapping seek legal counsel and turn themselves in.

Police say that three men, one of whom was armed with a conductive energy weapon, exited a van and grabbed the victim. The victim was resisting and was shocked by the suspects.

The suspects forced the victim into the van and fled.

A 35-year-old man from the City of Toronto that was arrested as part of this ongoing investigation has been released unconditionally.
