YEAH, BABY! BARGE SEASON ENDS MAKING WAY FOR ROWING REGATTA SATURDAY
GRAVENHURST — The “British Invasion” has come and gone.
Like the Barge season.
Sunday was the final night of Music on the Barge with the best of the Beatles and other mop top sensations from the 1960s when soft rock kicked led the charge in to the hard rock of the ’70s.
Despite the first real fall night settling on Gull Lake Rotary Park, a large crowd crammed the hillside seating to hear John, Paul, George and Ringo impersonators play to an appreciative crowd who soaked up other hit makers like Gerry and Pacemakers, the Animals and the Stones.
It was groovy kind of love.
And great way to end a busy and memorable summer with the addition of Rotary Rocks the Barge amphitheatre seating in place.

Muskoka Fall Classic rowing regatta Saturday
This Saturday the north rock seating will be a spot to sit and watch rowing regatta races morning and afternoon.
The Muskoka Fall Classic is put on by the Georgian Bay Rowing Club and always a busy and fun way to witness the water sport if you loved Canada’s Olympic performances in Paris this summer.
