BEARS EVEN EXHIBITION SEASON WITH 4-3 SHOOT OUT WIN AGAINST HANOVER
AYTON — The returning Muskoka Bears evened their exhibition record Sunday with a shoot out win over the Hanover Barons.
After dropping their season opener at home 7-3 Saturday, they rebounded the day after with a 4-3 victory in their North Division game played in Ayton at the Normanby Arena.
Following a 3-1 in the first period, the teams were scoreless in a penalty-filled (8) second stanza, before the Barons even the score with two goals.
A scoreless overtime led to the shoot out where Aiden McDonald potted Bracebridge’s first win.
Ryan Warwick, Mason Taylor-Wood and McDonald had the first period goals.
The Bracebridge Bears are in Midland for a Thursday night 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
And back home Saturday at 7 p.m. for their season debut at the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre facing off with Penetanguishene.

Sunday’s win came after a 7-3 loss in Gravenhurst to the Orillia Terriers in both teams’ season opener of the PJHL.
