BUSY SUMMER FOR LOCAL MUSIC SCENE EVERY DAY AND NIGHT OF THE WEEK

GRAVENHURST — Indoors and outdoors music is alive in Muskoka.

Great performers are taking to stages to entertain in Gravenhurst.

Tuesday night the Baytowne Big Band, from Barrie, jazzed up the Barge with nostalgic tunes as a fill-in for Sunday night’s regular weekly concerts interrupted by the Tall Trees concerts at Gull Lake Rotary Park.

Wednesday afternoon the audience at Trinity United Church was thrilled to her Rick Ulrick perform at least part of the lengthy Goldberg Variations on the grand piano.

Before and after he lifted the small crowd on the church’s organ.

The Muskoka Concert Band even played under a rainbow – literally even if not the song – at the Port Sydney Beach.

Greg Ulrick, from the North Bay area, started out on the organ getting the most out of the pipes to the enjoyment of the audience.
His noon hour-plus concert was on both ends of his piano performance.
He delighted the TUC Wednesday series goers with the well-known Goldberg Variations.
The French horn section of the Muskoka Concert Band – four strong! – was a big hit as they played the Port Sydney Beach on the final night of their summer series.
