TWO WEDNESDAY MUSIC SERIES BEGIN WITH AN ORGAN RECITAL IN GRAVENHURST AND MCB BEACH PARTIES WITH MUSKOKA CONCERT BAND

MUSKOKA — Mark Wednesdays on your musical calendar starting tomorrow to beat the heat and cool off in the lake after.

At noon enjoy exceptional pipe organ playing as Trinity United Church in Gravenhust returns to its summer recitals.

Their first concert features Kate Ward, who has been playing piano since age 3 and organ since — well her feet still don’t reach some pedal boards.

An ARCT and MusBac degree holder, she has extensive experience as a pianist, organist, singer, teacher and choir director.

A chartered accountant who retired to Muskoka in 2017, Ward is delighted to dust the off the pipes at Trinity.

MCB beach parties

Meanwhile, tomorrow night at 7 p.m. take a drive out east to Dwight to hear another fabulous concert on the beach featuring the Muskoka the Muskoka Concert Band.

It’s the beginning of their annual seasonal series of Wednesday in July.
They will play a different program each night and will feature all kinds of music you’re sure to love.

There’s a bit of an international flavour this year with everything from the Mexican March Zacatecas, to several Canadian pieces, as well as some hot Cajun music (Whew!), a little Slavonic Dance, and even some Beatles (Yeah!), Disney for the kids and and ’80’s rock’ ‘n’ roll.

Join them for a fun evening at the beach!
You can see and hear them in:

  • Dwight on July 10th

  • Huntsville on July 17th

  • Port Sydney on July 24th

All concerts start at 7 p.m. and are about an hour long.
Admission is free — and bring your lawn chair.
Donations are always welcome.
