GRAVENHURST — Summer is about to sizzle — heating up this week.

With temperatures expected to return to 30+ degrees the next couple of months.

That means more Muskoka outdoor events.

Including this weekend at the Gravenhurst Legion, which is hosting two days of food and music day and night respectively.

Starting noon Friday the recently renovated branch is holding an afternoon BBQ and beer garden on their Bethune Drive outdoor parking lot “patio.”

In the evening they’ll keep the grills going for dinner.

And from 9-1 p.m. there’s a dance featuring the Beal Street band.

Saturday morning they’ll be serving their popular breakfast with lots of classic car lovers parked in their lot for a bite down the road from Gull Lake Rotary Park where hundreds more will be on display under the pines for the annual chamber show.

It’s all part of their push to keep going with a refurbished lounge downstairs and the best rental hall in Gravenhurst upstairs overlooking their multi-purpose property in the shadow of its war memorial.

Join them for two days of food and fun.
