ADVENT CHOIR’S ‘WE SING NOEL’ CONCERTS FULL OF HOPE, JOY IN TROUBLING TIMES
GRAVENHURST — After a triumphant return to Port Carling’s Anglican church last night, the Muskoka Advent Choir will raise the roof again here at the Catholic church tomorrow night.
Following a night off Saturday, the 50+ members of the choral group will reprise their performance at St. Paul’s starting at 7 p.m. Sunday under the direction of musical director and conductor Linda Ellsworth.
“We Sing Noel” is a new and exciting take on Christmas carols and hymns that resounds with joy and hope amidst troubling times.
The singers from across the district and beyond radiate with the spirit of the season in ensemble voices and with moving solos.
The free-will offering goes to a local worthy charitable cause.
Their final three performances are Sunday Dec. 10 in Huntsville at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church; Friday Dec. 15 in Orillia at Emanuel Baptist Church; and finally Sunday Dec. 17 at Pinegrove Baptist Church in Bracebridge.
