Saturday after the Santa Claus Parade children’s librarian Jennifer Whipp had families in for some crafting and 3-D toy printing (it takes about two hours to feed piece of blue plastic line into a machine the size of a bread box before it pumps out a bendable kind of Rubik’s cube).

Children’s librarian Jennifer Whipp watches as Mary Cook helps her grandson Will Kiehl and friends get paint Christmas ornaments Saturday after the Santa Claus Parade.
Grandpa Paul Cook watches as his grandson Finn Kiehl plays with pieces of plastic toys extracted from the library’s fun 3-D printer.

There’s always something different going on at the library that’s no longer just about books. There’s digital services, programs on cyber security, computer help and history talks by archivist Judy Humphries
