UPDATE ON ‘SERIOUS ASSAULT’ YESTERDAY IN HUNTSVILLE: ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR SUSPECT

HUNTSVILLE — Following a “serious assault” investigation here early yesterday, police have a suspect in mind.

Provincial police say this afternoon that an arrest warrant has been issued for following the incident in Huntsville.

On October 24, at about, 3:15 a.m., they say officers from the OPP detachment in Huntsville responded to a call from a 32-year-old male who had been the victim of an assault on Susan Street in Huntsville.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant has now been issued for Kyle Ball, 36, of Huntsville on Criminal Code charges of:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm
  • Mischief – Destroys or damages property

Ball is described as white, 5-foot-3 and 125 pounds.

He is known to frequent the Huntsville and Almaguin Highlands areas.

Police add that while the accused is not considered an imminent public safety risk, he is known to carry weapons.
