CHARITY DONATION BOX REPORTED STOLEN IN DOWNTOWN GRAVENHURST TUESDAY AFTERNOON

GRAVENHURST — Police are looking for surveillance video from yesterday after a charity donation box was stolen from a downtown business.

OPP are investigating the theft, which took place Tuesday, October 10.

They say they received a call from the owner of a business on Muskoka Road South after the merchant realized that the container had been stolen.

The theft occurred at about 1:30 p.m. and the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet, tall with a short, scruffy beard.

Police are collecting evidence and anyone with video surveillance available for that time frame along Muskoka Road South between Royal Street and Sharpe Street is asked to call the OPP at (888)310-1122.
