SWAMPED DRIVER ON HWY. 118 IN BRACEBRIDGE FACES IMPAIRED CHARGES

BRACEBRIDGE — A morning driver was charged with impaired operation of a vehicle following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 118 East in Bracebridge Saturday.

Police received a call, at 7:30 a.m. on June 17, from a member of the public reporting a vehicle had left the roadway and settled into a swamp area on Hwy. 118 East in Bracebridge.

Officers attended, conducted an investigation and subsequently arrested and charged 25-year-old Olivia Urbaniak, of Etobicoke, with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

Urbaniak is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge July 25, 2023.
