DEATH NOTICE: CAROLYN (TOMPSETT) HOLMES, ORILLIA, 69

CAROLYN MARGARET (TOMPSETT) HOLMES

May 24, 1953 ~ Oct. 21, 2022 (age 69)

Died peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at age 69.

She was the beloved wife of Brian Holmes of Oro-Medonte. Loving mother of Jennifer (Chester) Romanek of Oro-Medonte and Nathan (Crystal) Holmes of Bracebridge. Cherished grandmother of Dexter and Louisa Romanek and Kaydence, Isaac, Aimee and Daniel Holmes.

Loved daughter of Mary and the late Bart Tompsett, of Gravenhurst, where she grew up. Dear sister of Michael (Margaret) Tompsett of St. Catharine’s, and Mudge Tompsett of Gravenhurst.  Carolyn will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and the Holmes family.

Retired nurse at OSMH; Connexus Church Member; Mariposa Probus member.

Carolyn grew up in Gravenhurst, the daughter of Mary and the late Bart Tompsett. She worked as a nurse at Orillia Solders’ Memorial Hospital.

The late Mrs. Carolyn Holmes will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia on Monday from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 12 noon till time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.

A private family interment will take place at West Oro Baptist Church Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Simcoe, Barrie and the Muskoka Christian School, Utterson would be appreciated.
