TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUGS, B&E CHARGES TUESDAY IN GRAVENHURST
GRAVENHURST — A traffic stop that led to drug charges also included a charge of possession of break and enter tools Tuesday.
Police say that Oct. 18 officers were conducting general patrols when they stopped a motor vehicle on Veteran’s Way for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
As a result of an investigation, Branden Reed, age 30, of Gravenhurst, was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x3 – Cocaine, Fentanyl, Methamphetamine contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Possession of Break and Enter Tools contrary to section 351(1) of the Criminal Code
Reed was charged and released on an Undertaking to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 29, 2022.
