DEATH NOTICE: JILL DZURUS, 71, WORKED AT MUSKOKA CENTRE AND IGA IN GRAVENHURST

It is with great sadness the Dzurus family announces the passing of Jill Suzanne Dzurus, nee MacDonald.
Jill passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at Muskoka Shores Care Community after a courageous battle with dementia.
She is survived by her husband Ron, of 50 years, daughter Dana (Nathan), son Ronnie (Denice) and sister Lori Nash (George). She was loving grandmother to five grandchildren Cruz Lee, Scarlett Lee, Aunika Dzurus, Freja Dzurus, Nadija Dzurus; and nephew Mathew Nash.
Jill was very loving, caring and sympathetic. She loved children, nature and Muskoka.
Jill was born in Bracebridge to the late Alex and Shirley MacDonald. Her brother, Dan, predeceased her.
Living in Gravenhurst her whole life, Jill worked at the Muskoka Centre and Gravenhurst IGA, where she made many friends and acquaintances.
A special thanks to the professional, kind and caring staff at Muskoka Shores.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life will take place later.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation or charity of your choice.

How sad. I had no idea she was suffering. Much too young to go. Please send my love and sympathy to her family. Always a bright smile and exuded happiness at the IGA. Love Judy

Jill was so great, nice and sweet. Worked with her at IGA. She trained me, so patient and kind. I remember her sweet daughter, Dana, taught my son to swim as well. Just a fantastic family. My deepest condolences.
