Bracebridge beaches get the all-clear

BRACEBRIDGE — It’s all clear for Bracebridge’s four public beaches.

A cleanup of all of Bracebridge public beaches means they are safe to swim at as of Tuesday.

Town officials report that “after conducting thorough inspections and extensive clean-up operations, the Town of Bracebridge is pleased to announce that the beaches located at Kirby’s Beach Park and Bracebridge Bay Park are open.”

Public Works staff took various measures to ensure that these and other municipal beaches were safe, said Walt Schmid, director of public works.

“We thank everyone for their patience and understanding as these public safety operations were undertaken.”

In addition to the clean-up work undertaken at Kirby’s Beach Park and Bracebridge Bay Park, mechanical beach raking operations were also undertaken at Bowyer’s Beach Park and Muskoka Falls beach areas.
