Missing red canoe found near Big Chute

SEVERN, TWP. — Somewhere there’s a song in this story — with a happy ending.

We told you there was a story about a red canoe.

Or at least a picture book.

Police are looking for the owner of a red canoe found located 500 metres from Big Chute on the Trent-Severn waterway.

They say that on Thursday, March 24, the Orillia OPP were dispatched to reports of an abandoned canoe.

They don’t report any kind of foul play.
