HUNTSVILLE WOMAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING LAST NIGHT

HUNTSVILLE A driver police say was swerving on the road last night has been charged with impaired driving.

The OPP says that on Wednesday Dec. 23, at 8:30 p.m., an officer observed a car swerving while being driven on Centre St north.

A police stop determined that the driver was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

And Leslie Davis-Gromley, 54, of Huntsville, was charged with:

  • Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, contrary to section 320.14 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
  • And Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. contrary to section 320.14 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

She was released to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Huntsville, Feb. 3, 2021.

Huntsville OPP remains committed to ensuring Ontario roads are safe from alcohol-impaired and drug-impaired drivers. The OPP is reminding drivers that no amount of alcohol or drugs in your system is safe when operating a motor vehicle.
