Leaders in Parry Sound Friday for debate on North

PARRY SOUND – We the north get a chance to hear what the next premier will be do for us Friday.

Seventy-two hours after the official start of the Ontario election, Kathleeen Wynne, Doug Ford and Andrea Horwath will be at the Stockey Centre here for a debate at 11:30 a.m.

It’s the final event of a three-day Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities conference.

The will be sitting down to answer questions from FONOM delegates and debating each other on issues specific to the north, where there are 13 ridings now, two more thanks for a realignment with the feds.

Local MPP Norm Miller will stay on for a meet and greet with Ford at the Parry Sound legion at 1 p.m.

This will be Ford’s second visit to Parry Sound-Muskoka during the campaign, and his first official stop.
