Richter’s Greens rally, ready for writ

HUNTSVILLE Timing is everything — so the Ontario Greens could have the jump.

Matt Richter has already taken his campaign to Pine Glen elementary school, where he received an enthusiastic welcome and lots of informed and entertaining questions about this Ontario election and his candidacy.

The night before the provincial electrion writ is dropped on Wednesday, Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner will be back in the local riding Tuesday night rallying the troops for the June 7 run.

He will be visiting Huntsville on May 8, to help launch the campaign of Parry Sound-Muskoka candidate, Matt Richter.

Schreiner was here Main Street-ing in Huntsville last month with Richter, who he described that day when the Liberals presented the budget as: “A small business owner, the kind of champion we need” in government and on the issues of the environment the former teacher has waged a long campaign on in past election bids.

The ‘People Powered Change Campaign Launch’ in Hunstville (with food and live music by Sean Cotton) will take place at Partner’s Hall at Algonquin Theatre.

The Ontario party leader and the Parry Sound-Muskoka candidate will be there talking, rallying and chatting from 7 to 9 p.m.
