WOMAN CHARGED WITH FRAUD USING FACEBOOK BUY-AND-SELL GROUP

HUNTSVILLE Police are cracking down again on fraudsters.

After a Ramara contractor was charged this week, OPP in Huntsville initiated fraud investigations Sept. 7 concerning an air conditioning unit that was listed for sale in July on a Facebook buy-and-sell group.

As a result Alexandra “Alee” King, 29, of Huntsville was arrested Oct. 31 and charged with six counts of fraud under $5,000 contrary to section 380(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

King was released to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Huntsville Dec. 9, 2020.
