GRAVENHURST MAN FACES CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES

GRAVENHURST — A man here is in custody tonight facing a bail hearing in the morning on child pornography charges.

David Ashe, 71, faces four counts of possession of child pornography CC 163.1(4), accessing child pornography CC 163.1(4.1) and making, printing, publishing or possessing for the purpose of publication any child pornography CC 163.1(2).

Members of the Muskoka Crime Unit and the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit arrested and charged Ashe after a child pornography investigation.

They said today that on Nov. 5 police and their technological crime unit executed a search warrant at a Gravenhurst residence.

He will be in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge tomorrow, Nov. 6, for a bail hearing.
