FIRE RATING RETURNS TO MODERATE FOR MUSKOKA
GRAVENHURST — Recent rains have resulted in the open burning ban being rescinded as of July 14.
The Gravenhurst Fire Department tweeted today that: “The weather over the weekend has improved conditions throughout our community to the point where the OPEN BURNING BAN has been RESCINDED.”
They say the Fire Danger Rating is now set at moderate.
However, they warn that “daytime burning is still prohibited by byaw throughout #Gravenhurst.”
Ratings are made in consultation with the fire chiefs of the six area municipalities and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
