HUNTSVILLE COUPLE FACES COCAINE CHARGES
DWIGHT — A double takedown yesterday has led to two Huntsville residents being arrested and charged with cocaine trafficking and possession of a replica handgun modified to appear as a real firearm.
Provincial police say Thursday, April 9, the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the OPP’s SWAT team and canine unit used a drug warrant to search a Dwight home.
They seized cocaine worth about $4,428 and $3,995 in cash.
At 3:50 pm officers pulled over a vehicle on Highway 60 in an investigation by the street crime unit.
A man and woman were arrested for possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking.
A short time later, officers executed a search warrant on their residence in the Township of Dwight.
There police seized about 44.28 grams of cocaine, the cash, a prohibited knife, and a replica handgun modified to appear as a real firearm.

- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Crack Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 S. 354(1)(b) CCC
- Possession of an Imitation Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose S. 88 CCC
- Two (2) Counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order S. 733.1(1) CCC
Courtney Couckuyt, 24:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Crack Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking S. 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 S. 354(1)(b) CCC
- Possession of an Imitation Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose S. 88 CCC
- Carrying a concealed weapon S. 90 CCC
McIndoo and Couckuyt were released on Undertakings to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville June 17, 2020.
