GRAVENHRST — A Corona crackdown now includes program closures and self-restrictions at municipal facilities.

Officials here said late Friday that in light of the current precautionary advisories in regards to COVID -19 (Coronavirus) and keeping public safety top of mind, the Town of Gravenhurst has regretfully had to cancel all March break programming from March 16 to March 21.

This includes programming at the Gravenhurst LibraryCentennial Centre andGravenhurst Opera House.

They say town facilities will remain open at this time and will be re-evaluated early next week.

And in keeping with our municipal partners in Muskoka, the public are asked to avoid town facilities if they are feeling unwell and are encouraged to continue to conduct regular town business through our website, phone or email.

A town release says it will continue to monitor the situation closely and share further updates as they become available.

“We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.”

Please follow MuskokaTODAY.com and town social media www.gravenhurst.ca and our social media platforms for further updates and information.

Residents are being asked not to visit municipal facilities if they have any symptoms of the Coronavirus.
