MUSKOKA LAKES WOMAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED THIS MORNING

BRACEBRIDGE — A Muskoka Lakes woman faces a charge of impaired driving after being stopped by police this morning.

Provincial police said late this afternoon that on Tuesday December 3, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. they were alerted to a vehicle that was “travelling in a manner that was dangerous” on Muskoka Road 118 in Bracebridge.

Officers located the vehicle and as a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 60-year-old Donna Turner with Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

The accused is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 7, 2020, and furthermore has had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded.

Police say many impaired drivers are taken off of area roads as a result of information from engaged members of the public taking the time to call. If you suspect a driver is impaired please call police (9-1-1) from your hands free device.

Police stopped a 60-year-old woman this morning and charged her with impaired driving.
