TWO SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISIONS LEAD TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES IN BRACEBRIDGE AND GRAVENHURST

BRACEBRIDGE — Two drivers are in court next month facing impaired driving charges after collisions last week and this.

On Thursday March 5, at 7:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 11 South near Taylor Road in Bracebridge.

Police arrested and charged 26-year-old Joshua Jones, of Baysville, with Impaired Operation and Refusal to Comply with Demand.

Jones is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 14, 2026.

On Monday March 9, at 9:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a second single vehicle collision on Sparrow Lake Route D in Gravenhurst.

A pick-up truck had left the roadway, crashed through a ditch and came to rest on the lawn of a residence.

Investigating officers arrested and charged 39-year-old Susan Russell, of Barrie, with Impaired Operation and Over 80.

Russell is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge April 21, 2026.

Police charged two drivers, a man and woman, in separate accidents March 5 and 9 in Bracebridge and Gravenhurst.
